Autologous Blood Products in Equine regenerative medicine.

This lecture on Regenerative Medicine in Veterinary Practice - it will explain what constitutes regenerative medicine with special focus on the equine veterinary practice.

It will look in depth at Platelet Rich Plasma, Stem Cells and Autologous Conditioned Serum products, IRAP and other products, and the ease and cost effectiveness of Regenerative therapy in practice.

It will evaluate the science and biological activity of injecting platelet growth factors, exosomes and anti-inflammatory biological molecules injected into tissues to stimulate biological regeneration and pain management.

It will explain the difference between Platelet Rich Products and Autologous Conditioned Serum (IRAP) products on the market and the components within it that allows anti-inflammatory and anabolic capabilities.

The webinar highlights clinical publications to show the benefits of Regenerative Medicine therapy for medical and equine veterinary clinics, ambulatory vets and hospitals: post-surgically rehabilitation, superficial wounds and acute and chronic musculoskeletal rehabilitation and pain management.

Dr Julien Troillet Dr. Med. Vet. Dr. Troillet worked as an associate in a private equine clinic in Munich, Germany. Beginning in 2008 he took on several positions as equine veterinarian in the UK. His practical focus was on equine orthopaedics. Dr. Troillet currently works as Managing Director of Orthogen Veterinary GmbH producing the medical devices Orthokine® and Osteokine® His field of work includes product research and development of blood-based therapies such as ACS/BCS and PRP. After he received his veterinary degree from the University of Leipzig in 2005.

Dr. Stephen Barabas BSc., BVMS., MRCVS Director of VBS Direct Ltd., and active clinical veterinary surgeon within the UK. Special interest in wound care, MSK rehabilitation and pain management medicine.
