• L-Theanine: Supports levels of calming brain chemicals, including Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), serotonin, and dopamine. L-Theanine has a similar structure to glutamate, the brain's primary excitatory neurotransmitter. It can bind to and block some of the glutamate receptors, which decreases excitatory impulses and the brain's overall stress response.
   

• L-Tryptophan: essential amino acid tryptophan contributes to protein synthesis and the regulation of numerous physiological mechanisms.
   

• Ashwagandha: An adaptogenic herb containing the natural steroidal molecules, withanolide and glycowithanolide. These molecules help balance the body's stress response by supporting the adrenal glands and regulating the stress hormone cortisol. It also promotes homeostasis.
   

• Catnip extract: Its well known properties come from its nepetalactone and nepetalactone acid compounds. For some pets, its mild sedative properties can help them fall asleep more easily.
   

• Magnesium: Both minerals are essential for proper nervous system function. Magnesium binds to receptors, while a proper calcium-to-magnesium balance prevents nerve and muscle cells from being overloaded.
